Randy Huggins

Randy has been one of the best bowlers Jasper County has ever seen. He started bowling in 1966 at the age of 5 in junior leagues. In the junior ranks Randy won some events in the annual county tournaments, but in the adult ranks he has quite a resume. (4) 800 series of 811, 806, 805, and 803. (11) 300 games and (1) unsanctioned 300 game in Grinnell while qualifying for the Let’s Go Bowling TV show in the mid 80’s. He also has (5) 299 games and (2) 298 games. That is a total of (21) sanctioned honor scores, and all but a few were bowled in Jasper County at Cardinal Lanes and T&M Center Lanes.

Randy has competed at the PBA Regional level 3 or 4 times and cashed in one of those events. Randy has also bowled in 18 ABC Nationals, over 20 State Tournaments, the Hoinke and Super Hoinke, and the Greater Ozarks Open. Randy has won a Central Iowa Monthly tournament, Singles in Fairmont, MN, placed 2nd in Doubles at State Tournament, 3rd at the Greater Ozarks Singles, and made it to the fourth round of the Super Hoinke. Randy has been a champion of the JCBA Tournament 3 times, 1991 & 1992 All Events and 1992 Singles. He has won several league team titles, league high series, high game, high average, with his highest league average at 232.

Randy has also been a member of the Jasper County Bowling Association Board of Directors, starting from the 8th director and working his way up to President for one year, and is currently the Treasurer for the JCBA. Randy has also served as a league officer as President and Secretary. His biggest influences in bowling have been his parents (Louis and Joan), Lee Troen, and Jeff Van Blair.
