• Family Doubles Qualifying:  October 4 thru October 19 in Youth League. 

• Coaching Clinic:  October 11 & 25 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at Iris Bowling Center.  Youth and adults are welcome.  These clinics are for those who want to learn more about bowling.  Members will be able to attend one, or all.  The plan is to touch on a different segment of the game each clinic.

• State Family Doubles Tournament:  January 12 & 13 in Cedar Rapids. 

• Dual Singles Scratch Tournament Ft. Madison Qualifying:  January 19, 2008 @ River City Lanes in Ft. Madison.  Entry fee is $50.00 and 24 bowlers will qualify for the finals in March at River City Lanes.  Call 319-372-1971 for more information.

February 2008

• The Iowa State USBC Open Tournament begins in Council Bluffs on February 2, 2008 and will go into May.  The Mt. Pleasant Bus Trip will be gathering at Iris Bowling Center at 3:30 AM on that same day. 

• The Iowa State USBC WBA Tournament begins February 9, 2008 and concludes June 1 in Waterloo, Iowa. 

• Local Qualifying for the Susan G. Komen "Bowl for The Cure" Tournament will be February 10 through February 16 during regular league play at Iris Bowling Center.  The cost is $5.00, and your scores from league will be used for entry.  Pink entry forms are located at Iris Bowling Center, or you may Click Here to download a form from the IowaWPA website.

• The Annual Mt. Pleasant USBC Association, Inc. Spring Meeting:  Sunday May 18 in Alley Lounge.   Social time at 4:30PM.  Meal at 5:15PM.  Meeting to convene at 6:00PM.  There will be association awards to announced,  Men's and Women's Hall of Fame inductees, and election of officers and Board members. 

July 2008

• Board of Directors Meeting:  Sunday July 13, at 6:00 PM in Alley Lounge.  This will be a workshop, think tank, meeting of the minds to exercise ideas for coaching seminars for the adult and youth in the fall. 

August 2008

• Secretaries Workshop:  Tuesday August 5, at 6:30 PM @ Alley Lounge

• Open Association Meeting:  Tuesday August 12, at 7:00 PM in Alley Lounge.  The meeting will include elections for men, women and youth State Convention Delegates.  High Score presentations and a Youth Convention Delegate report.  A proposed amendment to the bylaws will be voted on to allow a staggered system in the election of Youth Directors to ensure continuity of service.

• Youth League Registration:  August 22 & 23 from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Iris Bowling Center

• Coaching Clinic preparation meeting for all License 1 Level coaches at 7:00 pm at Alley Lounge

• The "PBA Experience Sport League" will have it's organizational meeting on Friday, September 5 @ 7:00 PM at Iris Bowling Center.  This league will bowl every other week, starting on September 12, 2008.
